Back to the daily grind

Ok, so it's Thursday right before school starts for students and the teachers have the day off...this can be good, it can be bad...I haven't figured this out yet. I'm excited about school starting. I'm ready for the first day "duck, and cover, it's gonna be chaos" and actually kinda looking forward to it. :)

Getting back to Bahrain has been interesting. I've made the rounds of visiting the shops and restaurants where I know the staff. I am happy to see most of Bahrain hasn't changed too much in the two months I was gone.

The new staff seems to have it together and it looks like we're going to have a decent year...

en sha allah.

Back in Bahrain!

So, I'm back in Bahrain... It's nice to have the familiar feels, smells, sights, sounds. The school year started today for us teachers. What a crazy day. I have very little to do. We had an all staff meeting, a high school staff meeting, and that's it before lunch for me. I'm done for the day because I have no classroom this year and I'm not the head of my department and I'm certainly not a new teacher to the school...Such is my life...

travel, travel, travel...

Well, my living out of a suitcase hasn't quite finished yet. Last week I was at the Dresser house in Maryland. That was awesome! I got to see Brigid, whom thought I was going to stick her in a cat box and take her away...again. I got to hang out with the cousins, my aunt, and my uncle. Everyone seems to be pretty good. That adventure started with a VERY LONG train ride out to Maryland, and ended in the same fashion.

After Maryland, I unloaded the suitcase and reloaded the backpack and headed off to Muncie. Pretty soon, I'll be back on my way to Bahrain. For more adventures and a whole new set of experiences...:)

Moore at House on the Rock...

My mom took this pic of me at the end of the Infinity room.
And this is the Classic Moore taking a picture of a Moore taking a picture shot. This was in the Carousel room and I was taking a picture of something on the ceiling.

Christmas in July

Yes, this is a tree... well a tree for candles. 9 candles to be exact. I found this today in an antique store and it will be my Christmas tree when I go back to Bahrain. It is light enough that I'm not worried about getting it to Bahrain with my weight restrictions on my luggage. It is only about 6 inches tall and very cute. :)
