flight plan

It's official, I'm leaving on the 21st of August. I'm flying out of Cincinati and it's going to take me a little over a day to get to Bahrain. I've got two connecting flights, one in Detroit, and one in Amsterdam with at least a one hour lay-over each. I'm not worried about any of this. Having a date is very comforting. I can now tell everyone, this is when I'm leaving and this is how long I've got to get my affairs in order.

the work week

I'm still about 6 weeks out from leaving for Bahrain and I have some adjustments to think about before I leave. First and foremost: the work week. In Islam the work week is Sat-Wed, with a Thurs-Fri weekend. In the summer with not much going on, this won't bother me much, but once I get there, my week will need adjusting because I'm not used to Saturday feeling like Monday.
